Guiding Principles for V-Lions:
To be successful, any expansion of Lions service opportunities must not compromise the perceived quality of the Lions membership experience. V‐Lions, like traditional Lions, must perceive a value proposition and, like Lions everywhere, feel that they are a part of a greater movement that works on a global as well as a local basis. V-Lions membership should not be seen as a replacement for traditional Lions Club membership but is a new way for individuals to participate in a local Lions Club (if one exists) or an opportunity to belong to a proposed new structure to be known as a "Virtual Club."
A V-Host club will make provisions for including V-Lions in club activities, providing timely updates on local/global Lions activities and initiatives, and seek input from V-Lions on ways to make the V-Lions membership even more meaningful. V-Lions should always be invited/encouraged to attend any Lions related events/projects and must be made to feel at home!! As noted on our homepage, a successful V-Lions program will result in a Lions structure where V-Lions and "Traditional Lions" will co-exist as "equals" and each is respected and rewarded for their contribution to Lions/community service projects.
