COVID VACCINES

The Wayne County Health Department will be administering
Initial, Second, third dose (first booster),  
fourth dose (second booster)
and pediatric COVID-19 vaccine

Children 5 years and older can receive either Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
​​​​​​​The Health Department has Moderna vaccine available for children 6 months - 4 years

Beginning in July, no appointment is required.

Walk-in clinics will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 - 11:30 and 1:00 - 4:00

Please bring verification of your vaccine status with you,
​​​​​​​otherwise vaccine cannot be administered.

​​​​​​​Those 18 years of age or older are eligible for any booster doses.
Those 5 -17 are eligible for Pfizer booster only.

The second booster dose must be four months from the first booster dose.

Johnson & Johnson vaccine is available for first and second doses only. 
The third dose MUST BE either Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

IF YOU ARE IMMUNOCOMPROMISED, you may receive a third dose at least 1 month after the second dose.  Children 5 - 11 years of age may receive a third dose 4 weeks after the second dose.  A booster dose (4th dose) may be administered to those 12 years of age and older 5 months after the 3rd dose.  A fifth dose can be administered to immunocompromised ONLY four months after the 4th dose.

Pediatric Doses

 Moderna Pediatric vaccine is being administered to children 6 months - 4 years of age.
Children 5 years and older may receive either Moderna or Pfizer vaccine.

CDC has created the COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation (Q&I) Calculator to help provide an easy-to-use way for people to follow the CDC's guidance on quarantine and isolation and get customized information to address their unique situation.

DISCLAIMER:  The Q&I Calculator is not for people with COVID-19 who are moderately or severely ill or those who have a weakened immune system.

This tool does not apply to cases and close contacts identified in certain settings. Parents with children in K-12 schools or early care and education (ECE) programs should consult the program administrator for specific isolation and quarantine guidance in their school or ECE setting.  For information about isolation and quarantine in high-risk congregate setting and healthcare setting, refer to COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation.
