The Wayne County Health Department will be administering
Initial, Second, and Third dose booster COVID-19 vaccine

Appointments MUST be scheduled for ALL clinics and are available by clicking this link
Please bring verification of your vaccine status with you,
​​​​​​​otherwise vaccine cannot be administered.

For booster doses you must have received
2 doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine,
​​​​​​​with the second dose at least 5 months ago.
​​​​​​​Those 18 years of age or older are eligible for any booster doses. Those 12-17 are eligible for Pfizer booster only.

Johnson & Johnson vaccine must have been received at least 2 months ago.

If you are receiving an Initial dose of vaccine,
you must be 12 years of age to receive Pfizer vaccine,
​​​​​​​ and 18 years of age to receive Moderna vaccine.

 

**Please note: Once all appointments are full, you will be unable to schedule. **

We continue to offer third doses for IMMUNOCOMPROMISED clients.  If you meet one of these qualifications, or if your physician recommends a third dose because of your condition, you can come in for a third dose:

  • Active treatment of cancer with chemotherapy
  • Solid organ transplant recipients
  • People within 2 years of stem cell transplant/CAR-T-cell therapy
  • People with severe primary immunodeficiency (DiGeorge sd, Wiscott-Aldrich sd, CVID, etc)
  • People with advanced or untreated HIV
  • People with active /ongoing treatment with high dose steroid (over 20mg prednisone daily)
  • Medications that suppress the immune system including alkylating agents, antimetabolites such as methotrexate, azathioprine, “biologics” and DMARDs for autoimmune system, cancer chemotherapy meds that reduce the immune system, or transplant immunosuppressive drugs. 

IF YOU ARE IMMUNOCOMPROMISED, you may receive a third dose at least 1 month after the second dose.  Children 5 - 11 years of age may receive a third dose 4 weeks after the second dose.  A booster dose (4th dose) may be administered to those 12 years of age and older 5 months after the 3rd dose.

If you are experiencing Covid-like symptoms do not enter the Health Department!

Instead call (330) 264-2426 and press “0” for assistance.

At this time we have a limited amount of Covid-19 tests. In an effort to make these tests available to those who need them most, we ask that you only take a test if:

  • You are getting a test for someone experiencing symptoms of Covid-19
  • You have a known exposure to someone with Covid-19
  • You will be traveling within the next week and a test is required.
