The Wayne County Health Department Women Infants and Children (WIC) Program is hiring one full-time dietitian and one part-time dietitian to work with young families to help young children get started on the right track with good nutrition.  Both positions require a registered dietitian to conduct nutritional risk assessments of clients, certify potential participants for WIC program benefits and provide nutrition education and counseling for Infants, Children under 5 years old as well as Pregnant, and Postpartum participants.  Candidates must also be willing to promote breastfeeding based on the needs and interests of each participant. The part time position is 24 hours per week.  The fulltime position is 40 hours per week and includes medical and dental insurance.  Both positions participate in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System.  A Registered Dietitian is required.  Being familiar with the  WIC program is highly desirable.
